Off the Clock with Team Topo: Alter a piece of clothing.
We asked some of our employees to tell us how they’ve been passing the time now that they have more of it. Next up: Khristian Gilham, Apparel Designer.
You don't have to start from scratch to be creative.
Fixing or altering old clothes has been pretty fun for me. It is a very literal way to acknowledge the person you were and the person you currently are. It feels really hard to create something from scratch right now, so starting from an old piece and updating it for the you that exists right now is helpful. I made a (kind of horrible) wrap shirt out of an old skirt that I never wore, and although it's not the most polished thing I’ve ever seen, I’m proud of it.
- Activity: Alter a piece of clothing you haven’t worn in a while.
- Topo Kit: Tour Shirt & Sport Skirt
- Media: Murder, She Wrote TV show (for the “it’s-all-going-to-be-okay” feeling and major, major outfit inspiration)
- Food or Drink: Any beer as long as it’s super cold
